Be Steadfast In The Discharge Of Your Duties, NUJ Chair Urges Journalists

The Chairman Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Haj Asma’u Halilu, has called on Journalists practicing in the State to be steadfast in the the discharge of their official duties to the nation.
Speaking during a one day training workshop for 31 Journalists selected from various Chapels that comprises the State Council organized by the NUJ in conjunction with the Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF), Haj Asma’u pledged the Council’s resolve to continue to train and retrain journalists in the state.
The Chairman of the Council, who was represented by the Council’s Financial Secretary, Mr Noah Ebije also said that the welfare of members is Paramount to her administration.
Mr Iliya Kure, a facilitor from AMDF in lecture “Understanding Investigative Journalism” urged Journalists to always be curios, cautious and accurate in their reportage.
Mr Kure, a top Journalists said that generating story story ideas should be topmost in the mind of every good journalist as they most not stand outside or compromise their integrity but most independently.
Another facilitor, took the Journalists on the rubrics of conducting interviews as well as other aspects that will improve the ethics of the profession.
