Sen Uba Sani Wins APC Kaduna Guber Ticket

representing the Central Senatorial District of Kaduna State in the Senate, has been declared the winner of the gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressive Congress APC, held Thursday 26th May 2022.


Anachuna Henry, the returning officer of the primary election, while declaring Uba Sani the winner, said a total of 1,275 delegates were registered.
According to him,1,245 delegates were accredited,1235 delegates voted,1,196 votes remain valid and 39 votes were invalid. Adding that Uba Sani polled 1,149 votes to defeat the two other contestants, Bashir Abubakar who scored 10 votes.
In his acceptance speech Uba Sani, emphasized that his victory was the victory of every member of the party,” this is your victory, this is your moment, this is the beginning of the journey of consolidation and continuity”.


According to him, he says he will build on the legacies of the irrepressible Governor Nasir Elrufai.” Together we shall tackle our challenges and forge unity amongst our people”.
Today’s governorship primary is a showpiece of superb organization, display of decency, patience, and discipline of delegates.” we have shown that we believe in democracy and are ready to follow the rule of law and due process.

He thanked his co-contestants, Alhaji Sani Shaban and Alhaji Bashir Abubakar for their belief in the democratic process” saying he will reach out to these great politicians and strategists and extend his hand of fellowship to them, to take Kaduna State to higher heights.
Uba Sani is today one of the youngest voices in the Senate (9th Assembly). He has paved way for the reinvention of the banking and financial services sector in Nigeria, as he presently heads the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and other Financial Institutions.
