 Mercy Corps, IMC, NUJ Trains Journalists On Peace Journalism

In a bid to improve the quality of reportage amongst journalists in the area of peace reporting in Kaduna Statek,  the Mercy Corps, Interfaith Mediation  Center (IMC)  and Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna Council last week organized a two day workshop for 40 Journalists. 
The two days workshop which entails rigorous brainstorming had resource persons from all facets of life involved in peace building. 
In her welcome address to the participants, the Chairman NUJ Kaduna State Council, Hajia Asma’u Halilu,  thanked the sponsors of the workshop which she said came at the right time. 
She charged the participants to be steadfast in imbibing what they have been taught in order to improve on their reportage of conflict issues. 
She assured both sponsors and participants that the council will continue to train and retrain members so that they can improve on their reportage. 
The theme of the workshop is “Conflict Sensitive  Reporting ”
